Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora - South Canterbury’s Timaru Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Oncology and Medical Day Unit on a permanent 0.6 FTE basis. You will deliver specialist outpatient nursing care for IV/SC treatments and support patients throughout their treatment journey, while collaborating with the multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, patient safety, whānau-centred care, and ongoing professional development in oncology/nursing.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with Nursing Council of New Zealand registration.
• Current Annual Practising Certificate.
• Experience in oncology/haematology or medical nursing.
• Experience with IV/SC treatments and infusion therapy.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in the Oncology and Medical Day Unit.
• Coordinate care for patients undergoing medical oncology and infusion therapy.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team to support patients and whānau.
