Health New Zealand – Te Whatu Ora Southern is seeking a motivated Registered Nurse to join the Day Patient Services team at Timaru Hospital. You will provide safe, contemporary, patient-centred nursing care for medical and surgical procedures, supporting patients through admission, treatment and discharge.

Qualifications

• Registration with the Nursing Council of NZ.
• Current Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
• Competency in medical and/or surgical nursing practice.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for day-patient procedures.
• Support admission, treatment and discharge processes in a multidisciplinary team.
• Deliver safe, patient-centred care and communicate effectively with patients and whānau.
