Job summary

Motion is seeking a Customer Account Manager to own a Christchurch portfolio, build trusted relationships and drive growth across industrial customers. You will collaborate with sales, engineering and branch teams to deliver practical solutions and premium service that keep operations moving.

You’ll lead a proactive sales approach, identify opportunities, and contribute to a high-performing team while enjoying an attractive salary, incentives and a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• A curious, practical, and solutions-focused approach.
• 3-5 years of experience in sales, preferably within industrial engineering, manufacturing, or technical services.
• Confidence working with customers across industrial, construction, and trade environments.
• A proven ability to identify and convert growth opportunities within existing accounts.
• Positive attitude and willingness to contribute as part of a team.
• Excellent negotiation skill.
• Self-motivated with a strong customer service orientation and business acumen.
• Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver a strategic sales plan alongside the wider Motion network.
• Manage and grow a portfolio of key customer accounts.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within your territory.
• Work closely with internal teams and other business units to maximise customer opportunities.
• Deliver responsive, premium service and practical solutions for customers.
• Support the wider team with customer service and day-to-day account requirements.
