Randstad New Zealand is seeking a hands-on Civil Project Engineer to own site delivery for Auckland projects, including residential subdivisions, bulk earthworks, drainage, and roading.

You will work closely with Project Managers and Site Foremen to turn engineering drawings into on-site progress while maintaining QA, ITPs, and council sign-offs. Practical, on-site experience is essential.

Formación

• Bachelor-level civil engineering qualification or NZQA equivalent.
• 3 to 6 years civil contracting experience on NZ infrastructure or land development sites.
• Solid on-site understanding of deep drainage, earthworks, and utilities.
• Hands-on with ITPs, site QA packs, and council sign-off procedures.
• Familiarity with NZS 3910 contracts and site variation processes.

Responsabilidades

• Managing day-to-day site engineering operations across bulk cut/fill earthworks, drainage, and roading packages.
• Developing, maintaining, and closing out ITPs and QA documentation for council sign-offs.
• Coordinating with plant operators, pipelaying crews, and subcontractors to maintain site momentum.
• Managing 2–4 week lookahead schedules, material deliveries, and resource procurement.
• Reviewing drawings, handling RFIs, and collaborating with consultant engineers.
• Assisting PM with monthly progress measures, dayworks, and variation tracking under NZS 3910.
• Championing on-site health, safety, and environmental controls.
