Job summary

Auckland University of Technology (AUT) invites applications for the 2027 Residential Assistant role at Mayoral Drive Student Accommodation in the City Campus. The position is part-time (12 hours per week) and based on site, offering a unique opportunity to support residents as they settle in and build community.

Successful candidates will be AUT students who have lived in halls, are eligible to work in NZ, and enjoy leadership, teamwork and event planning.

Qualifications

• Must be an AUT student and living in AUT halls (preferred).
• Strong leadership, teamwork and event planning skills.
• Ability to juggle tasks and manage front-of-house duties.

Responsibilities

• Front-of-house duties and resident check-ins.
• Leadership for resident groups and activities.
• Organise and deliver engaging events for residents.
