Job summary

Habit Health in Christchurch is seeking a registered nurse to fill an Occupational Health Nurse role, delivering high-quality assessments and vaccinations across the region. This full-time position requires travel around Canterbury and a proactive, patient-centered approach.

You will maintain documentation, manage equipment and scheduling, and build relationships with clients and colleagues while promoting Habit Health’s services. NZ APC and 5+ years' occupational health experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with NZ APC.
• Minimum 5 years’ occupational health nursing experience.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of Privacy, H&S, and health information laws.
• Valid NZ driver’s license.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a nursing professional who can bring their experience to an Occupational Health Nurse role based out of our Christchurch clinic.In this role, you’ll deliver high-quality occupational health services to a wide range of clients and contribute to smooth, efficient service delivery. Your nursing assessment skills, vaccination process, clinical judgement and proactive communication will help organisations keep their people healthy, safe and supported at work. This opportunity is full time.

Due to the nature of the role, you will be required to travel around the region.

Main responsibilities:

• Deliver clinical occupational health assessments, vaccinations,and provide clear feedback to clients
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely reporting
• Manage equipment, scheduling and patient management systems efficiently
• Build strong professional relationships with clients, colleagues and external stakeholders
• Promote Habit Health’s services and identify opportunities to support new and existing customers

The ideal candidate:

• Registered Nurse with a current NZ Annual Practising Certificate
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in occupational health nursing
• Excellent communication, organisation and time-management skills
• Professional, proactive and solution-focused approach
• Ability to work as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team
• Knowledge of relevant legislation (Privacy, H&S, health information)
• Confidence using clinical systems and digital tools
• Valid NZ drivers license
