Job summary

Turitea School in Whanganui invites applications for a permanent full-time teacher to cover primary and intermediate (Years 1–8). The successful kaiako must hold NZ teaching registration and be comfortable teaching across our kura, with strengths in new entrants or seniors welcomed.

We value collaborative planning, effective communication, and a commitment to te ao Māori and culturally responsive pedagogy. Experience in structured literacy and active treaty partnership with Te Tiriti o Waitangi

Qualifications

This is an exciting opportunity for someone new to join our team who is an Aotearoa-based kaiako . We are looking for someone wanting to teach anywhere in our kura, but would love it if you had strengths in new entrants or seniors. We want someone who:

  • advocates, collaborates, communicates, evaluates, innovates, integrates and participates
  • commits to being an 'active treaty partner' in recognition of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

If you have strengths in structured literacy, te ao Māori, culturally responsive and relational pedagogy, then we would love to have you at our kura.
