Job summary

Summerset Boulcott village is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our casual pool, delivering high‑quality aged care and supporting residents to enjoy their daily lives. Night shifts 11pm–7am; you’ll lead care on shifts, perform clinical assessments, develop long‑term care plans, and work closely with residents, families and the team.

You must hold NZ Registration and Practising Certificate, have a genuine interest in elder care, and excellent communication; Summerset offers full uniform, weekend

Qualifications

NZ Registration and Practising Certificate current.
Genuine interest in elder care and retirement village services.
Ability to lead, stay calm under pressure and be emotionally resilient.
Strong communication to build rapport with residents, families and staff.

Responsibilities

Manage residents’ daily needs, from clinical to end-of-life care.
Create and follow long-term care plans and conduct clinical assessments.
Take charge of the care centre on shifts and make clinical decisions.
Deliver planned nursing care and evaluate progress with residents and families.
Provide guidance to caregivers on shift.
Build trusted relationships with residents and their families.
