Job summary

Summerset Holdings in Wellington's Boulcott village is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our casual pool. You will support residents with comprehensive nursing care, contribute to long-term care plans and lead shifts when required.

You must hold NZ registration and a current Practising Certificate, enjoy building rapport with residents and families, and be resilient under pressure. Night shifts 11pm–7am are available, with weekend premiums and opportunities for future part-time or

Qualifications

• NZ Registered Nurse with Practising Certificate
• Strong communication and rapport-building
• Ability to lead and remain calm under pressure
• Experience in aged care settings preferred

Responsibilities

• Managing residents’ everyday needs, from clinical to end-of-life care
• Creating and following long term care plans as well as clinical assessments
• Taking charge of the care centre on certain shifts and making appropriate clinical decisions
• Delivering planned nursing care and evaluate progress with resident and family
• Providing guidance and direction to caregivers on shift
