Job summary

Hong Yun Design And Build Limited is seeking a Carpenter in Auckland for full-time engagement. The role requires interpreting plans, measuring and assembling timber, and installing fixtures across residential builds.

The position offers an hourly rate of $26–$33 with weekend shifts and long-term potential. The candidate should have 2 years of relevant experience or a Level 4+ qualification, plus a Bachelor's degree or higher.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work weekends and cover required shifts.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications
• Measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling timber and other materials to construct frameworks, furniture, and structures.
• Installing fixtures, fittings, and structures such as windows, doors, stairs, and cabinets.
• Inspecting materials and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and building codes.
• Repairing or replacing damaged or worn structures, fixtures, or furniture.
• Constructing and installing frameworks for walls, ceilings, and floors.
• Assembling and installing partitions, shopfronts, and signage.
• Operating hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machines.
• Ensuring all work adheres to safety standards and regulations.
• Maintaining a clean and safe worksite in accordance with health and safety requirements
