Job summary

Econowaste in Auckland is seeking a Class 5 Waste Operator for night shifts (3pm/4pm start to 3am/4am finish), Monday to Friday, 55–60 hours per week. You will operate our waste-transport vehicles, load equipment, and back trailers into tight spaces while loading recyclables with care.

Responsibilities include unloading Walking Floor trailers, maintaining NZTA-compliant records, and working unsupervised on a night shift. Must be physically fit and health and safety focused.

Qualifications

• Clean and valid Full Class 5 Drivers License.
• Loader license and ability to load own truck/trailer.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicles and onboard equipment to transfer waste materials safely.
• Unload Walking Floor trailer.
• Back trailer into tight spots and load recyclables with care.
• Maintain accurate driving records and comply with NZTA guidelines.
