Job summary

Vulcan in Christchurch is hiring for a permanent night shift role to support plate processing operations. You will load and unload trucks, pick/pack orders, and move heavy steel products, working closely with production and transport teams to ensure on-time dispatch.

Ideal candidates bring forklift experience, a NZ Driver's Licence, and a strong safety mindset. This hands-on role requires physical fitness and reliable attendance in a busy industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience loading and unloading trucks with a forklift.
• Full New Zealand driver's licence and eligibility for Forklift F Endorsement.
• Experience in warehouse, dispatch, manufacturing, or logistics environments.
• Physically fit and able to handle heavy steel products safely.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks using a forklift and site equipment.
• Pick, pack, and prepare steel orders for dispatch.
• Move steel plate and other heavy materials around the site.
• Assist with stock movements and inventory control.
• Follow safe operating procedures and keep the area clean and organised.
