Job summary

Horizons Regional Council is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead a programme of mahi advancing Te Waiū o te Ika. You will work with iwi, hapū, councils and technical experts to deliver key initiatives, strengthen partnerships and turn vision into action.

The role requires confidence navigating both strategic and practical aspects, with a strong grounding in Te Ao Māori, tikanga and collaboration.

We're looking for someone who can confidently navigate both the strategic and the practical, bringing a strong grounding in Te Ao Māori, tikanga, collaboration and project leadership.

Please note: This fixed-term role is established to support the work of Ngā Wai Tōtā. While the role will report to the Chair and Deputy Chair of Ngā Wai Tōtā, the successful applicant will be employed by Horizons Regional Council, which will provide the employment framework and day-to-day employment support for the position.
