Job summary

New World Point Chevalier is hiring a part-time Service Deli Assistant to join our busy team. You’ll work with fresh foods, help create great customer experiences, and keep the deli area stocked and inviting.

You must be comfortable working weekends, be reliable, and have a positive attitude. A current right to work in New Zealand is required, and you’ll receive a free uniform and a supportive team environment as part of New World’s family.

Qualifications

• Experience in deli, fresh food, or customer service is preferred.
• Must have current right to work in New Zealand.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, slice, cook, and present a range of deli products (including meats, salads, chickens, cheeses, platters, and sandwiches).
• Keep the deli cabinets fully stocked, fresh, and beautifully displayed.
• Serve customers with a smile, providing helpful and friendly service at all times.
• Complete temperature checks and maintain food safety and traceability records.
• Follow strict hygiene, cleaning, and health & safety standards.
• Assist with stock rotation, labelling, and price integrity to ensure accuracy and freshness.
• Support catering orders and customer requests.
• Help with general housekeeping tasks such as washing dishes, wiping benches, and restocking packaging supplies.
• Work collaboratively with your team and assist across the store when needed.

To keep delivering delicious food and great service to our customers, we’re looking for ONE part-time Service Deli Assistant to join our busy team. You must have a current right to work in New Zealand.

Friday 1:30pm-9pm, Saturday & Sunday 12pm-10pm

The Role

As a Service Deli Assistant, you’ll:
