Job summary

Deloitte New Zealand is seeking a Senior Consultant to design, develop, and maintain robust .NET applications. The role focuses on Azure deployment, code quality, and scalable services within a tax and business advisory digital transformation context.

You will work on cloud-first solutions, collaborating across teams to translate business needs into technical outcomes, while applying modern DevOps practices and ensuring high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications

• A degree in a technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in .NET development with a strong focus on C#.
• Technical knowledge on: ASP.NET Core, Angular 16+, Web API, OO programming concepts and testing.
• Hands-on experience with fundamental Azure concepts.
• Knowledge of advanced design concepts.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as code (Bicep or Terraform).
• Experience with Docker and AKS for containerization and orchestration of microservices is a plus.
• Passion for the software development and improvement process.
• Ability to work to deadlines and in dynamic project environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Job Description

The impact you'll make: As a Senior Consultant you will design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable applications using.NET technologies. Your typical day will include:

• Utilising Azure cloud services for application deployment, management, and scalability.
• Engaging in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Troubleshooting and resolving errors/issues.
• Sharing experience and knowledge with team members.
• Analysing and translating business requirements.
• Applying coding best practices and guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Your expertise: Bring your passion for creating innovative digital solutions and see what impact you can make. You'll also ideally have:

• A degree in a technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in .NET development with a strong focus on C#.
• Technical knowledge on: ASP.NET Core, Angular 16+, Web API, object-oriented programming concepts and testing
• Hands-on experience with fundamental Azure concepts
• Knowledge on advanced design concepts
• Knowledge on Infrastructure as a code (Bicep or Terraform)
• Experience with Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) for containerization and orchestration of microservices is a plus.
• Passion for the whole software development and improvement process.
• A result driven mindset, and be able to work against deadlines.
• Experience of working in a dynamic project environment.
• The ability to work independently as well as in team.
• Willingness to learn and apply new technologies and best practices.
• Ideally an interest in tax or business advisory service offerings (but not essential)
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
