Job summary

Heritage Lifecare’s Flaxmore Lifecare in Nelson is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to help prepare nutritious meals for our residents. This part-time role involves PM shifts, 12 hours per week, with a focus on quality, reliability and teamwork in a warm care home environment.

You will bring experience in catering or food service, a passion for good food, and strong customer service and communication skills. Weekend availability is a plus and training is provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in catering and food service (or related roles) is preferred but not essential.
• A passion for creating good food and providing an exceptional dining experience.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
• Genuine love for helping people with excellent customer service and a friendly attitude.
• Experience delivering to a quality standard.

Responsibilities

• Help provide hearty, nutritious meals for residents with dietary needs.
• Be reliable and ready to lend a hand, including AM and weekend shifts as needed.
• Support kitchen operations and ensure meals are prepared to a high standard.
