Job summary

Babcock International in New Zealand seeks a Supportability Engineer to join the IPS team in Devonport, Auckland. You will ensure defence assets remain reliable, maintainable, and operational, influencing design, maintenance strategies and spares solutions across the asset lifecycle.

You will perform reliability analyses, RAM studies, and supportability assessments, collaborating with engineering specialists to deliver cost-effective, compliant solutions for naval platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience as an IPS Practitioner, Supportability Engineer, or Logistics Engineer.
• Ability to perform RAM analysis, FMEA/FMECA, and LORA.
• Familiarity with NATO Codification and NSN management.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct reliability, maintainability, availability assessments and sparing analyses.
• Develop technical documentation and publication material.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve asset performance and sustainment.
• Engage stakeholders and support defence assets across lifecycle.
