Job summary
Makita New Zealand Ltd is seeking an experienced National Warehouse Manager based in Auckland. You will lead the Auckland warehouse while providing strategic oversight to the Christchurch operation, driving safety, efficiency and high team performance.
This hands-on leadership role requires strong people management, operational knowledge, and a track record of developing staff and improving warehouse processes. You will report to senior management and support nationwide logistics initiatives.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years in a Warehouse/Logistics leadership role.
- Proven ability to lead multiple teams across locations.
- Strong people management and coaching skills.
- Experience driving safety, efficiency and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day Auckland warehouse operations and support Christchurch site.
- Provide leadership and coaching to warehouse supervisors and staff.
- Ensure safe, accurate receipt, storage, and dispatch of products.
- Drive performance against service and productivity targets.
- Utilise data and reporting to support decision making.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Purchasing, Sales and Finance teams.
