Job summary

Government Communications Security Bureau in Wellington seeks a Technical Operative to join the team for on-site work. You will design, build, test and troubleshoot bespoke electronic, mechanical, RF or control systems and deploy equipment that enables intelligence collection.

Candidates should have strong teamwork, be quick learners, and possess knowledge in IT, networking, electronics or RF tech. A Top-Secret clearance is required and training will precede permanent appointment.

Qualifications

• Excellent teamwork and communication; ability to work independently when required.
• Strong aptitude for learning technical concepts on the job.
• Knowledge of IT, networking, electronics and/or RF technologies.
• Creative problem-solving demonstrated through work or projects.
• Curiosity about emerging technologies and their impact on New Zealand.
