The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) is seeking a Team Leader, Planning to lead the development and maintenance of the national planning framework and response planning programme. Based in Wellington, you will represent NEMA at strategic levels and coordinate with regional partners to ensure consistency and capability across sectors.

Qualifications

• A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent knowledge in emergency management planning.
• Significant experience delivering outputs through projects or programmes.
• Strong experience in strategic and operational planning and risk management.
• Experience leading multi-agency committees and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience in personnel management and operational decision making.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and maintenance of the national emergency management planning framework, supporting guidance and arrangements.
• Lead the development of the national response planning programme of work, including regional planning for national consistency and sector capability.
• Represent the Agency's position at national and international levels and engage with stakeholders at strategic levels.
• Adapt to a dynamic environment and drive planning activities in alignment with national priorities.
