Job summary

Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency is offering a six-month internal secondment as a Contract Manager – Professional Services. You will connect local NZTA teams with specialist resources, administer professional services contracts, and support maintenance delivery under the Integrated Delivery Model.

This national role offers regional office flexibility and work-from-home options in line with NZTA arrangements.

Qualifications

Experience administering professional services, consultancy, infrastructure or similar contracts.
Ability to read and apply contract documents and defined processes.
Experience preparing professional correspondence, contract notices, service orders or variations.
Strong administration and record-keeping skills, with timely approvals and expenditure tracking.

Responsibilities

Administer professional services contracts per contract conditions and NZTA requirements.
Prepare contractual notices, service orders, variations and correspondence.
Assess payment information and maintain records of approvals and changes.
Coordinate with local NZTA teams on programmes and resource needs.
Monitor contract expenditure and support value-for-money decisions.
Maintain audit-ready contract records and monthly cost/schedule reporting.
Identify risks and support mitigation actions; escalate as needed.
