Job summary

Albany Junior High School on Auckland’s North Shore is seeking a collaborative and inspiring Music teacher to join our vibrant Arts faculty for 0.6 FTE (12 contact hours per week). The successful applicant will teach mixed‑ability music classes across Years 7–10 and contribute to our extensive co‑curricular programme.

Applicants must be well versed in the NZ Curriculum (NZC) and have current NZ teacher registration, with NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching music to diverse groups is preferred.
• Knowledge of NZ Curriculum (NZC) is essential.
• Strong collaboration within Arts faculty is expected.
• Ability to contribute to co-curricular activities is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Teach mixed-ability music classes across Years 7–10.

We are looking for a collaborative and inspiring Music teacher to join our vibrant Arts faculty for 0.6 (12 contact hours per week). The ideal candidate would be teaching mixed ability music classes across Years’ 7 to 10 in our dynamic programme. The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to the extensive co-curricular activities on offer.
