Albany Junior High School is a middle school (Year 7 to 10), dedicated exclusively to adolescent education. Located on Auckland's North Shore, we are designed around the developmental, academic and wellbeing needs of adolescents.

Our educational philosophy is underpinned by evidence-informed explicit teaching, Structured Literacy, Structured Mathematics and a future-focused curriculum that prepares learners for senior secondary education and beyond.

We are seeking an inspiring and passionate Year 7 or Year 8 Homeroom teacher for 2027. Our homeroom teachers deliver both academic learning and pastoral care to students. The successful candidate will join a highly collaborative, supportive faculty who value collegiality.

We are seeking an innovative and reflective educator who is passionate about designing teaching and learning experiences driven by formative assessment to meet the diverse needs of students. Experience with Structured Literacy Pedagogy is preferred, alongside the ability to teach a comprehensive Mathematics programme.
