Job summary

Mellons Bay School in Auckland is seeking a passionate music teacher to lead our music program for Years 1–6, part-time 0.4 FTTE on a fixed-term basis.

The successful applicant will foster a love of music, direct choirs and ensembles such as marimba and strings, and contribute to our singing culture in assemblies; Friday availability is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Current NZ Teacher Registration and practicing certificate.
• Experience teaching primary music and leading ensembles.
• Strong classroom management and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the school's music program across Years 1–6.
• Direct ensembles including choir, marimba, and string groups.
• Support and grow the school's singing culture in assemblies; Friday availability preferred.

About the role
