Job summary

sKids Peninsula site in Auckland is seeking a friendly Programme Assistant to brighten afternoons for Tamariki. You’ll be working a minimum of 9 hours per week, rostered across Monday to Friday, with shifts from 2.30pm to 6.00pm. Potential school holiday hours may be available (7am–6pm).

Join a cheerful, supportive crew at sKids, where you’ll supervise activities, keep spaces tidy, help run energetic sessions, and support children’s wellbeing and safety.

Qualifications

• Have the right to work in New Zealand (valid visa or citizenship).
• Can get to sKids Peninsula site with reliable transportation and/or a vehicle.
• Are enthusiastic about working with kids - from babysitting to coaching to volunteering, any experience counts!
• Are reliable, energetic, and keen to make every session special.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and supporting Tamariki in a range of fun, safe activities
• Keeping spaces tidy, clean, and welcoming for children
• Helping Programme Manager run smooth, energetic sessions that keep kids buzzing
• Spotting hiccups (behaviour, wellbeing, safety) and sharing with your manager so everyone stays supported

Job Description

As a Programme Assistant, you’ll be the friendly face that makes the afternoons unforgettable for children. You’ll be working a minimum of 9 hours per week, rostered across Monday to Friday.

• Afternoon/ After School shifts runs between 2.30pm-6.00pm. Availability from 2.30pm is essential, though finish times may vary.
• Potential school holiday programmes hours available (between 7am - 6pm).
