Job summary

sKids is recruiting for out-of-school care roles in Queenstown. This part-time, fixed-term position offers morning and afternoon blocks across multiple sites, with potential holiday programmes.

You’ll help deliver engaging activities, supervise children, and support day-to-day operations across the programme. Ideal candidates bring childcare or coaching experience, leadership or supervisory background, and a positive, energetic attitude.

Qualifications

• Must have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
• Reliable transport to sKids Queenstown sites (Remarkables, Shotover, Queenstown primary).
• Experience in childcare, education, coaching, camps, or similar.
• Leadership or supervisory experience for Manager roles.
• Applicants for Manager roles must be 20 years or older under regulations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and support a variety of activities including arts & crafts, sports, games, cooking, and creative play.
• Supervise and engage with children, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and enjoyment.
• Use positive behaviour guidance to support children with different needs.
• Build strong relationships with parents, caregivers, and school staff.
• Support or lead the day-to-day running of the programme from set-up through pack-down.
• Guide and support team members to deliver a high-quality programme.
