Job summary

Goodman Fielder New Zealand seeks multiple Production Operators/Assistant Bakers for our Huntly site. No experience required as full training is provided.

You will join a high-performing Baking and Production team, assisting with bread preparation, baking and packaging to set quality standards. Reporting to the Team Leader, you will train, supervise and lead initiatives in the production environment, with duties including safety, quality checks, and collaboration with internal customers.

• Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
• Strong knowledge of work health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production equipment to site standards.
• Communicate equipment issues to the Team Leader promptly.
• Maintain Food Safety, GMP, cleaning and hygiene standards; apply corrective actions from audits.
• Build strong relations with internal customers by producing to plan.
• Complete online quality checks and production checklists.
• Train other production staff as required.

This position is an integral member of the Baking and Production team and makes a strong contribution to a high performing Production team and team culture within Baking, while performing the duties of preparing, baking and packaging bread products to the standards required.
