Job summary

Qualifications

  • Experience in customer service, retail, sales, tourism, or other public-facing roles.
  • Passion for creating exceptional customer experiences.
  • Confident with public speaking or guiding.
  • Willingness to learn astronomy content and share it in an engaging way.
  • Willingness to learn Ngāi Tahu values and te reo Māori.
  • Japanese language skills would be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver warm, professional customer service that enhances every visitor's experience.
  • Create welcoming, engaging, and memorable experiences for manuhiri from around the world.
  • Support retail operations including bookings, enquiries, merchandising, and POS.
  • Guide visitors through astronomy-focused experiences with enthusiasm and clarity.
  • Assist onsite operations including housekeeping, kiosk, and F&B support.
  • Contribute to a strong team environment and uphold Ngāi Tahu values in daily mahi.
