Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking a General Medical Imaging Technologist for up to 0.8 FTE (80 hours per fortnight) based in New Plymouth. You will join the radiology department at Taranaki Base Hospital, provide high-quality imaging, and participate in on-call, weekends, and rostered shifts.

About the role

Permanent up to 80 hours per fortnight role, based in NewPlymouth across multiple sites. Join our dynamic team at Health New Zealand in NewPlymouth! We are currently looking for a skilled General Medical Imaging Technologist to join our friendly and supportive radiology department at Taranaki Base Hospital. If you thrive in a collaborative environment, value teamwork, and excel at delivering top‑notch clinical outcomes, this role is perfect for you. As part of our team, you will play a vital role in promoting the health, well‑being, and independence of our community. This position involves working in our general department and participating in our on-call roster, which includes weekends, shifts, and call duties. You should be confident working autonomously and possess the ability to make sound clinical decisions, even in high‑pressure situations.
