Job summary

Cardrona Alpine Resort is seeking a qualified Electrician to join our maintenance crew on a permanent, year-round basis. The role covers the mountain, lifts, buildings and electrical systems, with fault-finding and proactive maintenance a key part of daily duties.

You should have NZ electrical registration and experience across domestic, commercial and industrial systems, including large motors. Ski industry experience is a bonus but not required.

Qualifications

• Must be a qualified Electrician with NZ electrical registration.
• Experience across domestic, commercial and industrial electrical systems.
• Confident working with large AC/DC motors.
• Knowledge of fire detection systems and maintenance preferred.
• Mechanical mindset; able to diagnose and fix issues.
• Calm under pressure and able to juggle multiple tasks.
• Team player and collaborative in a mountain environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain electrical systems across the mountain, lifts, buildings and machinery.
• Carry out fault-finding and proactive maintenance to keep operations running safely.
• Work across varied day-to-day tasks in a dynamic on-mountain setting.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritise and complete jobs.
