Job summary

Continental BMW Motorrad Auckland is seeking an experienced Motorcycle Technician to join our busy workshop. Using the latest diagnostic technology, you will service, maintain, and repair BMW Motorrad motorcycles to strict standards with genuine parts.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in motorcycle servicing, strong mechanical and diagnostic skills, and good computer and communication abilities. WOF certification is a plus; experience with European brands is advantageous.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of motorcycle servicing and repair experience (preferably BMW).
• WOF certification is a plus, not essential.
• Experience with European brands is advantageous.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, and repair motorcycles to BMW Motorrad standards using Genuine BMW parts and diagnostic equipment.
• Perform electrical and mechanical repairs as requested by customers.
• Inspect vehicles and issue WOF certificates or report work needed for WOF compliance.
• Minimise costs and re-work time while delivering quality workmanship.

Role and Responsibilities

As a result of increased workload, our Service Centre is looking for an experienced Motorcycle Technician to join their busy workshop in a fulltime position. With the use of latest diagnostic technology, you are to ensure BMW Motorrad vehicles are kept in top condition with only Genuine BMW parts and diagnostic equipment. As the new Motorcycle Technician, you will ensure:

• Motorcycles are serviced, maintained, and repaired to BMW Motorrad and company standards
• Electrical and mechanical repairs and servicing as per customer's request
• May inspect vehicles and issue WOF certificates or detail works required to obtain WOF certificate
• Minimise all cost overruns and delays in time and re-work

To be successful in this role, you must:

• Have at least 3+ years of relevant experience with motorcycle service and repair (preferably BMW)
• Ideally be WOF certified - but not essential
• Previous experience in European brand will be an advantage
• Possess strong mechanical skills and diagnostic experience
• High level of computer and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Deliver a positive attitude and strong work ethic
