Job summary

Genesis is building and maintaining the Genesis Energy app in Auckland, delivering customer-facing features for accounts, bills, usage, payments, dashboards and EV. You’ll collaborate with senior developers, product, design, QA and backend teams to strengthen your craft and deliver high-quality mobile experiences.

You will contribute to an evolving iOS codebase using Swift, SwiftUI, MVVM and modern tooling while embracing AI-assisted development tools and best practices.

Qualifications

• Strong Swift and native iOS development fundamentals with 3+ years of experience.
• Experience with SwiftUI and familiarity with UIKit.
• Experience consuming REST APIs and writing meaningful tests.
• Understanding of MVVM, asynchronous programming, dependency injection and modular architecture.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain iOS features within a Swift multi-module codebase.
• Develop modern iOS experiences using SwiftUI, alongside existing UIKit features.
• Work with MVVM architecture, Swift Package Manager, dependency injection and shared design-system components.
• Integrate REST APIs and deliver reliable experiences across loading, success, empty and error states.
• Write meaningful tests using Swift Testing and Mockable, review code and investigate production issues.
• Use GitHub Copilot and contribute to the responsible evaluation of other AI-assisted development tools.
