Job summary

AWF New Zealand in Christchurch is seeking a Mill Operator to join our team on major civils and infrastructure projects.

You will work on roadworks, conduct machine checks, and ensure NZTA and health & safety compliance. Class 4 licence preferred.

We offer weekly pay, KiwiSaver, sick leave, holiday pay, PPE, and ongoing training leading to permanent roles.

Qualifications

• Experience in Roading/ Construction.
• Physically fit and ready to work in all weather.
• Strong health & safety mindset.
• If you have Class 5 driving licence you will be automatically shortlisted for the Mill Operator role!

Responsibilities

• Work on Christchurch and Canterbury Region roadworks and construction projects.
• Utilise operator experience for roadworks and construction tasks.
• Attend toolbox/WIP meetings and conduct machine checks.
• Ensure compliance with NZTA and H&S regulations.

Roles Available:

We want to hear from you if you have experience in one or all the below:

• Paving Foreman
• Sprayer Operator
• * Mill Operator (Class 4 minimum)

What You'll Be Doing:

• Working on some of the most exciting projects currently on the go in Christchurch and the Canterbury Region!
• Using your Operator experience for roadworks and construction
• Attend toolbox/WIP meetings & conduct machine checks
• Ensure compliance with NZTA and H&S regulations

What You Need:

• Experience in Roading/ Construction
• Physically fit and ready to work in all weather
• Strong health & safety mindset
• If you have experience in Roading, on the Job training is offered!
• * If you have Class 5 driving licence you will be automatically shortlisted for the Mill Operator role!
