Job summary

East Coast Steelwork Ltd in Canterbury is seeking four experienced Welder/Fabricator/Fitters to join our team. You will perform fabrication, welding and fitting work using carbon steel, aluminium and mild steel, reading technical drawings and ensuring high-quality standards.

The role requires MIG and Arc welding proficiency, strong attention to detail, good problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or in a small team.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ experience as Welder/Fabricator/Fitter or similar role.
• Proficient with MIG and Arc welding techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good problem-solving skills and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Perform fabrication, welding and fitting work primarily with carbon steel, aluminium and mild steel.
• Read and interpret technical drawings to fabricate components accurately.
• Ensure all fabrication work meets required quality standards and specifications.
• Operate MIG and Arc welding equipment proficiently.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment.
