Job summary

DXC Technology is seeking an Intermediate Engineer in Wellington to perform hands-on software engineering, including design, development, code reviews, testing, and production support, while providing technical leadership.

You will work with Java, J2EE, Spring, Oracle database, Oracle WebLogic, SOAP/REST web services, Vue.js, Git, Jenkins, Red Hat Linux, and DevOps. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and on-call readiness are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in software engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in industry, with at least 2 years in a similar role.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages and development methodologies.
• Strong programming and debugging skills.
• Familiarity with software development best practices.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to grow into a leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Develop software using Java, J2EE, Spring, Oracle DB, Oracle WebLogic, SOAP/REST, Vue.js, Git, Jenkins, and DevOps.
• Provide guidance, code reviews, and technical support to a team of engineers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and ensure delivery.
• Manage tasks and plan work to meet project goals.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
• Promote innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.
• Willingness to participate in application support and on-call roster.
