Job summary

John Jones Steel is seeking building apprentices in Canterbury to join a busy team on full-time projects. This program combines hands-on learning with night classes, leading toward a nationally recognised Certificate in Engineering Fabrication Level 4.

Successful applicants should have proven building experience, a toolkit, and a commitment to safety; training and tools are provided, with progression over 40+ hours per week.

Qualifications

• Proven building experience is required.
• Basic maths skills are essential.
• Ability to read drawings and weld symbols is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Join busy team on full-time projects and commit to long-term development.
• Learn on-the-job with mentoring and upskilling, including night classes.
• Adhere to Health & Safety rules and wear PPE at all times.
