We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified, enthusiastic and highly motivated Medical Laboratory Technician to our team in the Histology Department at Middlemore Hospital. This is a full time, permanent role working between Monday Friday.
Middlemore Hospitalis a 950 bed Hospital and is one ofNew Zealands busiest and diverse teaching hospitalswith a large Emergency Department, Dialysis Unit, National Burns Unit, Regional Plastic Surgery, Special Care Baby Unit, ICU, and paediatrics, general surgical, orthopaedic and medical wards.
TheHistology department is IANZ accredited and situated on-site at the Middlemore campusand provides a Histology and NonGynaecological Cytology Service. The Histology department is involved in teaching scientific/technical and medical staff.
You will be required to work in all areas of the histology laboratory alongside a dedicated team of technicians, scientists, technical specialists, registrars and Consultant Pathologists to deliver a high-quality Histology service. The applicant must be a registered member of the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand in the Scope of Technician, preferably having experience working in Histology.
