Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, based at Christchurch Health Campus, is seeking MRTB-registered Medical Imaging Technologists to join our 24/7 general x-ray service across ED, outpatients, fluoroscopy, NICU and theatre imaging.

We offer modern facilities, a supportive team, and a 24/7 roster with day, evening, night and weekend shifts. Applicants should have solid imaging experience and a commitment to patient-centred care.

Qualifications

• Solid general imaging experience with a passion for radiography.
• Registration with MRTB and a valid practising certificate.
• Experience teaching and supervising students is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality patient-centred radiographic services across ED, outpatients, fluoroscopy, NICU and theatre imaging.
• Document procedures effectively and contribute to quality indicators.

About the Role

We have multiple permanent and fixed term positions available (please indicate in your cover letter what you are seeking). This will be based in our general x-ray team who work between Christchurch and Burwood Hospitals, covering all aspects of our busy 24/7 x-ray service including ED, outpatients, fluoroscopy, NICU and theatre imaging. All roles will include day, evening, night and weekend shifts.Weoffer an amazing team, ultramodern facilities and a work/life balance that issecond to none. In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Delivering quality patient-centred radiographic services which are efficient and effective for the needs of the patients and the service
• Effective documentation of procedures (where appropriate)
• The support and facilitation of quality indicators/programmes
• Supervision and clinical training of Medical Imaging Students, where appropriate

About You

Thesuccessful candidates will demonstrate:

• Solid experience of general imaging, preferably in a larger centre but this is not essential
• A Genuine passion for radiography. You will demonstrate this when teaching the Ara students who we host for clinical placements
• A strong work ethic and a dedication to teamwork
• A strong commitment to both patient care and producing high quality imaging across ED, inpatients, outpatients, fluoroscopy and theatre
• Experience of dealing with patients from a diverse range of backgrounds
• Registration with the MRTB and a valid practicing certificate
• You will be required to participate in a 24/7 rostered service
