Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, Wairarapa Hospital in Masterton, is seeking an experienced Medical Imaging Technologist (MIT) / Radiographer for casual shifts in the Imaging department offering CT, general radiography and on-call coverage. The role covers general radiology, CT and fluoroscopy, with work in HDU, theatre and emergency areas.
Eligibility includes NZ citizenship or resident/permanent visa; CT experience preferred or willingness to train; able to work independently and in a team;
Salary: APEX MECA and dependant on experience

About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for experienced MIT to join our Imaging department service at Wairarapa Hospital, we offer a comprehensive diagnostic radiology service including: General Radiography, CT Scanning.
These are casual positions working 0 - 80 hours per fortnight, as and when required. Applicants must be available at short notice, including weekends and evenings at times to cover on-call roster.
To be eligable to apply for these positions you must be a New Zealand citizen or have a resident or permanent visa status.
Your responsibilities will include working in all general areas of the department including, general Radiology, CT and Fluoroscopy and performing examinations in special care areas such as HDU, Theatre, Emergency and general wards.

About you
The ideal candidate will have:
Registered or eligible for registration by the Medical Radiation Technologists Board. Experience in CT preferable however applications will also be accepted from individuals willing to train in CT. Sound knowledge of diagnostic radiography and well-developed communication skills and empathy, with the passion to deliver high-quality healthcare.
