Job summary

Qualifications

• Diploma or 2+ years experience required or qualified by experience.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills required.
• Ability to manage complex technical projects within set timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Set up engine and chassis dynamometers and interpret telemetry for reports.
• Hands-on mechanical assembly, part modification, and precision fitting from CAD models.
• Diagnose complex electromechanical failures and perform non-destructive testing.
• Draft SOPs, manage calibration schedules, and ensure NZTA safety compliance.
• Oversee material planning and supervise junior technicians during engine rebuilds.
• Lead workshop workflows and mentor junior staff while coordinating with engineering.
