Job summary

Franklin Smith Group in Christchurch, New Zealand is seeking a Project Engineer to join our team. This role covers the full construction process from design coordination through to project delivery, working with designers, clients, PMs, site teams and subcontractors.

You'll be involved from early stages of a project, with responsibilities across design, ECI, estimating, and procurement, and travel to sites across New Zealand.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Project Engineer or similar within New Zealand construction.
• Experience with water and/or wastewater treatment plants.
• Strong understanding of the construction process from design and ECI through to delivery.
• Experience with estimating, tendering or pricing.
• Strong technical and commercial understanding.
• Willingness to travel when required.

• Project planning, procurement and programming
• Subcontractor and supplier coordination
• QA, documentation and project reporting
• Supporting commercial and project management
• Working closely with site teams through delivery
