Mechanical Engineering Expert (AI Training)

About The Role

We're looking for mechanical engineering specialists to help train and evaluate cutting-edge AI models. Your deep technical knowledge will directly shape how AI understands and reasons through complex engineering problems - from fluid dynamics and thermodynamics to structural mechanics and beyond. What You'll Do

• Design Complex Engineering Problems - Craft advanced, multi-domain problems spanning FEA, heat transfer, kinematics, fluid dynamics, and material science that rigorously challenge AI reasoning
• Author Ground-Truth Solutions - Develop precise, step-by-step technical solutions that serve as benchmarks for AI learning and evaluation
• Audit AI-Generated Content - Review and evaluate AI outputs including CAD logic, thermodynamic proofs, and material specifications for technical accuracy, safety, and compliance with engineering standards (e.g., ASME, ISO)
• Refine AI Reasoning - Identify logical flaws such as incorrect force distributions, energy conservation violations, or unit errors, and provide structured feedback to improve model performance

Who You Are

• Pursuing or holding a Master's or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related field
• Strong foundational expertise in one or more core areas: solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, CAD/CAM, or manufacturing processes
• Able to communicate complex physical concepts and mathematical reasoning clearly in written form
• Highly detail-oriented when reviewing derivations, unit conversions, and physical system constraints
• No prior AI experience required - if you know engineering, we'll handle the rest

Nice to Have

• Experience with data annotation, evaluation systems, or technical writing
• Proficiency in engineering software such as SolidWorks, ANSYS, or MATLAB
• Familiarity with AI or language model evaluation workflows
