Job summary

Technical Recruitment Solutions – Hamilton, North Island, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our client’s multidisciplinary team. The role involves taking mechanical plant projects from concept through to completion, including design work, scope and costings, site surveys, P&ID, PFD, and equipment lists.

The successful candidate will have a tertiary mechanical engineering qualification, relevant industry experience in industrial projects (food/dairy preferred), and ideally proficiency with

Qualifications

• Tertiary Mechanical Engineering qualification.
• Proven experience with mechanical plant design and project management on industrial projects (preferably food & dairy).
• Experience seeing projects through from concept to on-site commissioning.
• Proficiency with Inventor (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical plant design from concept to completion.
• Contribute to scope and costings for projects.
• Produce layout and equipment drawings; perform site surveys.
• Develop P&ID and PFD; compile item and equipment lists.
• Support overall project delivery from design to completion.
