Job summary

Whanganui City College in Whanganui invites applications for a full-time, permanent role teaching Mathematics and Statistics to students in Years 7–15, including senior statistics. The position sits within the Teacher Bonding Scheme (TBS), offering up to 40,000 NZD extra remuneration over the first five years.

The successful candidate will be a fully certified NZ Maths teacher with NCEA Level 1 eligibility from 2025 and experience delivering Phase 4 assessment.

Qualifications

• Fully certified NZ Maths teacher with current practising certificate.
• Experience with NCEA Level 1 assessment from 2025.
• Experience teaching senior statistics and Phase 4.

Responsibilities

• Teach Mathematics and Statistics to students in Years 7–15.
• Deliver NCEA assessments and internal assessments.
• Contribute to school initiatives and professional learning.

The Board of Whanganui City College welcomes applications for this approved Teacher Bonding Scheme (TBS) position. The TBS provides the appointee with up to $40,000 additional remuneration for the first five years. We seek an experienced, fully certified NZ Maths teacher with skills in NCEA L1 (from 2025), senior statistics and teaching Phase 4.
