Job summary

Encompass Education Hub (Proposed opening date: 2027-02-03) Wellington is seeking a passionate Mathematics teacher for Year 9–13 to join our team from the start of Term 1, 2027. You will teach Mathematics and statistics to NCEA Level 3 and support neurodivergent learners in a safe, inclusive environment.

We emphasise cross-curricular, project-based learning, student agency, and genuine partnerships with whānau, providing personalised pathways to life beyond school while celebrating

Qualifications

• Current New Zealand teacher registration and a practising certificate.
• Experience with, or a strong commitment to, supporting autistic and neurodivergent learners.
• Knowledge of and experience in teaching the New Zealand Curriculum and NCEA to Level 3.
• A collaborative, reflective approach and a passion for making learning meaningful and accessible.

Responsibilities

• Teach Mathematics and statistics to Year 9–13 with NZQA NCEA Level 3 expectations.
• Implement cross-curricular, project-based learning to engage diverse learners.
• Create safe, inclusive learning environments and foster student agency.
• Build genuine partnerships with whānau and support personalised pathways.
