Hamilton City Council is seeking a Marketing Executive for Te Whare Taonga o Waikato Museum & Gallery in Hamilton. This on-site, full-time role leads marketing and communications to raise regional and international profiles.

The ideal candidate will drive branding, digital marketing, media management and stakeholder engagement, reporting to the Director, Museum and Arts. Flexible, development-focused benefits accompany a supportive council culture.

Qualifikationen

• Tertiary qualification in Marketing or Communication.
• At least 5 years demonstrated experience with internal and external communications, branding, marketing and media management.
• Experience in the GLAM sector or tourism industry desired.
• Ability to formulate, implement and execute strategic objectives and plans.
• Experience in managing and optimizing digital marketing strategies and tools including web, social and Google channels.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to relate well to a range of people and influence thinking.
• Excellent interpersonal skills: communication, team effectiveness, conflict resolution and collaboration.
• High level of relationship management experience.
• Commercial and business acumen.
• Ability to work weekends, public holidays, and evenings to cover social media as required.

• Lead and implement marketing and communication portfolio for Te Whare Taonga o Waikato Museum & Gallery.
• Ensure proactive, effective, efficient, and timely provision of specialist comms, media, social media, and marketing.
• Lead delivery of communications and marketing strategies to increase the profile regionally, nationally, and internationally.
