Job description

About us

Child Cancer Foundation is a New Zealand charity that provides support to children and families on their cancer journey. We support them every step of the way, helping them overcome challenges and maintain control of their lives. We focus on the whānau, not the cancer. Every family’s experience is unique, and so is the support they need.

Our vision is ‘To walk alongside and support all children and their families on their cancer journey and advance improvements to child cancer care’.

We are guided by values that shape everything we do:

Tautiaki | Trust

Every role in our organisation plays a vital part in achieving this vision.

About the role

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Marketing Coordinator to provide hands-on coordination, administrative and delivery support across our Marketing & Fundraising Team.

With a particular focus on supporting our marketing and communications activity, you will help keep campaigns, workflows and digital channels moving. You will coordinate timelines, prepare and distribute content and collateral, support fundraising initiatives and provide practical day-to-day assistance to the wider team.

This is an execution-focused role where no two days will be the same. You will work across a variety of marketing, communications and fundraising activities, using your attention to detail and strong organisational skills to help ensure work is delivered accurately, consistently and on time.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the setup, testing and scheduling of email campaigns.

Coordinate timelines, logistics and assets for marketing and fundraising campaigns and appeals.

Support peer-to-peer fundraising activity, including page setup, supporter communications and reporting.

Coordinate materials, information and digital support for national campaigns and regional fundraising initiatives.

Assist with the creation, formatting and distribution of marketing and communications collateral.

Complete basic design tasks, content updates and copywriting using approved templates and tools.

Track tasks, deadlines and dependencies to support smooth and timely delivery.

Coordinate information from internal teams and external suppliers.

Maintain organised files, records and asset libraries.

Support reporting, analysis and data gathering across marketing and communications activity.

What we provide

Aside from working with a group of passionate and experienced people, a paid day off for your work anniversary and access to our Employee Assistance Programme.

You will join a purpose-driven organisation where your expertise will directly contribute to improving outcomes for children with cancer and their families.

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone who enjoys bringing structure and momentum to a busy team and takes pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work.

You will ideally bring:

A tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, fundraising or a related field, or equivalent experience.

One to three years’ experience in a marketing, communications or fundraising coordination or support role.

Experience supporting campaigns, digital activity or communications delivery.

Strong organisational and coordination skills.

Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Working knowledge of website content management systems, email platforms and social media.

Competency across Microsoft Office applications.

The ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

A proactive, reliable and collaborative approach.

Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.

The ability to take direction while also working independently.

If you are looking for a varied role where you can build your marketing and communications experience while contributing to meaningful fundraising activity, we would love to hear from you.
