Turn this role into an interview — a resume and cover letter built around what this employer wants.
Pioneer Finance, AffordX and Finley are expanding, and this Marketing & Business Development Coordinator role covers marketing execution and hands-on support for our General Managers' activities across the three brands.
You’ll split time 50/50 between running the marketing engine and assisting GMs with customer, partner, broker and adviser relationships, including Finley rollout. You will report to the Marketing Manager and collaborate daily with the GMs.
Pioneer Finance and AffordX are related New Zealand financial brands, alongside Finley — a new fintech product approaching its planned product and brand release. This newly created role covers two gaps the business currently has: dedicated marketing execution and hands‑on support for our General Managers' business development activity across all three brands.
You'll split your time 50/50: half running the day‑to‑day marketing engine (brand development, paid and organic ads, email, content creation, reporting), and half assisting the GM's with their customer, partner, broker and adviser relationships along with a focus on Finley's rollout. You'll report to the Marketing Manager, and work closely with the business GMs on a daily basis.
Creating marketing collateral and maintaining communication flows with customers and partners
Maintaining brand standards, compliance and adherence to legislative and industry requirements
Managing and optimising Meta Ads, Google Ads and omnichannel paid campaigns
Running email marketing and lifecycle automation via an internal CRM system, including remarketing to existing customer base
Spotting where the sales funnels are leaking and helping fix them to increase conversion and customer satisfaction
Continually producing new ad creative and visual content for campaigns and social media
Pulling together a monthly marketing report — what happened, and more importantly, so what happens next
Producing retailer marketing material, liaising with new retailers on co‑marketing, sending regular insights and newsletters, and reporting on performance, sales uplift and other KPIs
Supporting call and visit cycles with partners, brokers and advisers — scheduling, chasing follow‑ups, and keeping calling lists moving
Increase the utilisation of our internal CRM (Zenia), shaping how the team logs activity and coordinating input so leads are not missed
Jumping in alongside the General Managers for cold calling, product demos and conference/event attendance when needed
A good human who mucks in and gets things done, is an independent thinker while working well with a team and has fun while executing on a demanding role. You will also be energetic, positive, self‑starter who gets a kick out of ticking things off.
An excellent eye for content — you can brief, create or edit ad creative and social content yourself. Creative enough to make a good ad, but just as happy chasing down a follow‑up call or tidying up a CRM
Hands‑on experience with paid social/search advertising (Meta, Google) and email marketing or CRM automation platforms
Comfortable picking up the phone, organised enough to run a CRM properly, and happy putting together reports that people actually read
Use technology to get things done faster, but people and relationships are what actually motivate you
Follow through — ideas are great, but you're the person who makes sure they actually happen
Prior experience with financial services, merchant/retail partnerships or fintech is a bonus, not a requirement
NZ$70,000–$75,000 base salary (depending on experience)
KiwiSaver employer contribution
Standard company-issued laptop and phone
Full training and access to in‑house CRM, and other systems
Access to conference and professional development budget
Flexible/hybrid working in line with current policy
