To grow sales across the Saddlery Warehouse's online and physical retail channels by owning the day-to-day commercial performance of the e-commerce website and delivering effective, measurable marketing activity across digital, in-store and print. The role combines e-commerce optimization, customer lifecycle marketing, campaign execution, analytics, content coordination, direction of the printed catalogue's production, and management of specialist agencies, printers and contractors. This is a hands‑on, ideas‑driven role: the successful candidate will consistently generate and produce fresh ad and social media content on a weekly basis, and use analytics to continuously test, learn and improve performance.
Own commercial performance across the e-commerce website and in-store/franchise sales, revenue, conversion, average order value and repeat purchase.
Manage day-to-day e-commerce performance, merchandising, product discovery and landing pages — and coordinate website updates with Shopify partners and developers.
Support the launch and ongoing growth of the e-commerce site into new international markets
Use GA4, Shopify analytics, Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads and related reporting tools to understand performance and customer behaviour, online and in-store.
Run Google Ads, Meta Ads and email campaigns briefing and directing specialist contractors or agencies, or executing personally if needed, depending on what the business needs.
Ensure Klaviyo campaign planning, segmentation, list growth, deliverability and performance reporting are done well by directing a specialist contractor or personally if needed
Direct end-to‑end production of the printed catalogue, briefing and overseeing staff or external contractors from planning through to print delivery.
Plan and run an integrated campaign calendar that drives traffic into stores as much as online — national promotions, product launches, seasonal pushes, educational campaigns and local‑store activity.
Build a genuine understanding of the equestrian industry and customer key events, competitions, seasons and buying patterns and use that to shape what's promoted and when.
Work with purchasing, operations and store teams to align campaigns with stock, margin and store‑level realities.
Generate a constant stream of fresh ad and social content ideas every week and drive execution so campaigns are always live.
Commercial judgement: able to connect marketing activity to sales, gross profit, customer behavior and business priorities-online and in-store.
Proven ability to plan and deliver integrated campaigns across multiple channels and stakeholders, including store and franchise networks.
A genuine creative streak: a track record of coming up with fresh ad and content ideas consistently, week after week.
Hands‑on e‑commerce experience, ideally in a multi‑channel retail environment using Shopify or a comparable platform.
Strong practical understanding of conversion, onsite merchandising, customer journeys and the commercial drivers of e‑commerce growth.
Experience running Google Ads, Meta Ads and email/CRM campaigns (e.g. Klaviyo) either executing personally or briefing and directing specialist contractors or agencies.
Competence using GA4 and platform analytics to interpret performance and make commercial recommendations.
Experience directing the production of a printed catalogue or similar publication — briefing staff or external contractors, and working with printers or print vendors on quoting, scheduling and quality.
Strong written communication, briefing, organization and deadline management skills.
Genuine interest in or understanding of the equestrian, rural or specialty retail world is a strong plus.
