Job summary

RealNZ is seeking a Maintenance Technician based in Te Anau with travel to iconic NZ locations. You will carry out hands-on maintenance, support engineering research, and mentor Labourers and Apprentices while adhering to SOPs and safety standards.

The role combines general handyman tasks with critical preventive maintenance, requiring 3+ years with heavy equipment and the ability to work independently in diverse, stunning environments.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience working with heavy equipment.
• Conscientious and knowledgeable in safe and efficient repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Strong ability to keep accurate records of maintenance work.
• Leadership skills with the ability to mentor a team.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
• A valid New Zealand driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on vessels and facilities in line with SOPs and industry best practices.
• Identify and rectify defects or deficiencies in equipment to maintain standards.
• Conduct independent engineering research to support maintenance tasks and projects.
• Provide guidance to Labourers and Apprentices to help them develop skills.
